Korean Glutathione
Glutathione (GSH) is a naturally occurring tripeptide composed of glutamate, cysteine, and glycine. It is one of the body’s principal intracellular antioxidants, and plays an important role in maintaining cellular redox balance.
Reduced glutathione participates in the glutathione peroxidase system, where it helps neutralize reactive oxygen species and peroxides. It also serves as a substrate for glutathione S-transferase enzymes involved in conjugation and detoxification pathways. GSH is particularly abundant in the liver and is involved in maintaining other antioxidants, including vitamins C and E, in their reduced states.
Key Benefits
• Skin Brightening - Glutathione is the Korean industry secret to achieving that bright, glowing skin tone.
• Powerful Antioxidant Activity – Helps neutralize reactive oxygen species and oxidative stress.
• Cellular Protection – Supports cellular defenses against oxidative damage.
• Liver & Detoxification Pathways – Plays a central role in hepatic conjugation and detoxification processes.
• Redox Balance – Helps maintain a healthy intracellular oxidation-reduction environment.
• Antioxidant Recycling – Supports regeneration and function of other antioxidant systems.
• Immune Function – Glutathione status is closely associated with normal immune-cell function and regulation.
