MOTS-C
MOTS-C is a mitochondrial-derived peptide that works by activating the AMPK pathway, the cell’s master energy sensor. Its purpose is to optimize the cell’s mitochondrial function, fatty acid utilization, and glucose uptake. In clinical trials, MOTS-C has demonstrated improved exercise performance, increased endurance, better insulin sensitivity, and healthier body composition.
One of its most studied mechanisms involves activation of AMP-K, a major cellular energy-sensing pathway. AMP-K helps cells respond to changes in energy availability and regulates processes including glucose uptake, fatty-acid metabolism, and mitochondrial function.
Key Benefits
• Supports mitochondrial function and cellular energy production
• Promotes healthy glucose utilization, insulin sensitivity, and metabolic regulation
• Supports fatty-acid and energy metabolism
• Increases exercise capacity and endurance
• Promotes cellular adaptation to metabolic stress
• Supports healthy aging and mitochondrial resilience
